Student & Parent Privacy Notice
For students and parents, in plain words. Your teacher uses Fikra Smart in class. We keep your work safe so your teacher can see it. We never sell it, never show ads, and never use it to train AI.
What we know about a student
- The name or nickname you type to join (please use a first name or nickname only).
- Your answers, scores, drawings, handwriting and voice recordings made inside an activity.
- If your school uses a PIN or school Google sign-in: a link between you and your class (and your school name and email for Google).
- A random code made by your device so the class remembers it is you. It is not your name.
We do not ask students for a phone number, home address, date of birth, photos of faces, or location. Please do not type them in.
Who sees it
- Your teacher (and school staff your school allows).
- Classmates only see what a game shows, such as a name on a leaderboard.
- Fikra Smart does not look through student work. We only access data to give support the school asks for, keep the service safe, or follow the law.
- Companies that host our service (listed in Sub-processors) handle data only to run it for us.
What we never do
- Sell or rent student information.
- Show advertising to students or build advertising profiles.
- Use student work to train AI models.
- Contact students for marketing.
- Make decisions about a student only with a computer. AI hints are suggestions; the teacher decides marks.
Information for schools and parents about the law

| COPPA (US, under 13) | We use student data only for the school's educational purposes, with the school giving consent in place of parents. We do not use it for advertising. The school can ask us to delete a child's data at any time. |
| FERPA (US) | We act as a "school official" under the school's direct control for education records, use them only for the school's purposes, and do not re-disclose them. |
| GDPR / UK GDPR | The school is the controller; we are its processor under our DPA. Rights of access, correction, deletion and objection are available through the school or directly to us. |
| UAE PDPL and education rules | We process data under the school's instructions, host it with appropriate cross-border safeguards, and notify the school of incidents without delay. |
| California (SOPIPA, CCPA) | No targeted advertising, no selling, no profiling, deletion on school request. |
Parents' rights
You may ask your child's school (or us) to show you, correct, export or delete your child's data, or to stop using the service for your child. If you write to us at support@fikrasmart.com with subject "Parent request", we will confirm with the school and respond within 30 days. Your child's school decides how its class uses Fikra Smart.
Safety
Data travels over encrypted connections and is protected by access rules. If something goes wrong with student data, we tell the school without delay. See Security and the full Privacy Policy.
