Copyright & Content Complaints
Fikra Smart respects intellectual property and expects users to. Teachers upload their own materials, so we act when rights holders or users tell us of a problem.
Reporting infringing content (notice)
If you believe content on Fikra Smart infringes your copyright or other rights, email support@fikrasmart.com with subject "Copyright notice" including: (1) your name, address, email and phone; (2) a description of the work; (3) the link or exact location of the content on Fikra Smart; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that the information is accurate and you are the owner or authorised to act for them; and (6) your physical or electronic signature. This follows the US DMCA notice format and is intended to satisfy equivalent laws, including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 on Copyright and Neighbouring Rights.
What we do
We review notices promptly, may remove or disable the content, notify the uploader, and keep a record. Repeat infringers' accounts are terminated.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed by mistake, email us with: your details; identification of the removed content; a statement that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the courts of the UAE (or, where you live, the relevant forum) for any dispute; and your signature. We may restore content in 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant tells us they have started legal action.
Other harmful content
To report content that is unlawful, endangers a child, or violates the Acceptable Use Policy, email support@fikrasmart.com with the subject "Content report". We act urgently on child-safety reports and may involve authorities.
False claims
Knowingly false notices or counter-notices may lead to liability for damages and to account action.
