Sub-processors
Last reviewed 29 October 2026. We give customers 30 days' notice before adding or replacing a sub-processor (see the DPA). Each is bound by written data-protection terms.

Not sub-processors
Content a user chooses to embed or search for, such as YouTube videos, GeoGebra, or image/video search services, is provided by those services under their own terms when a user requests it.
Notes on AI providers
- Fikra Smart selects the active AI provider, with Gemini as fallback. Student-facing requests (hints, sketch feedback) can be configured to use a different provider than teacher requests.
- We send only the content needed for the request through our server, with keys held on the server. Our design aim is that student names and rosters are not included in AI requests. Teachers must not type personal data about students into AI prompts.
- We use paid API access. We do not use customer content for model training and we choose API terms under which providers do not train on API data by default; see each provider's current terms.
